My name is Alec Nunn and I am a Site Reliability Engineer and currently work in the video games industry at what I consider to be a AA studio, Singularity 6 working on a delightful, cozy community-sim MMO, Palia. Previously I have worked at Blizzard Entertainment working on the [Battle.net] game services/platform team, basically the "gateway" into most of Activision Blizzard's worlds. Before that I spent some time doing defense contracting after a 6 year stint in the US Navy, where I held a variety of titles, from Security Researcher, Red Team Operator, and Communications Watch Officer.

I've steadily been working my way back to being more security focused, as it is something that I fell in love with at a young age and have never quite moved past. But I also have fallen in love with the philosophies surrounding DevOps and SRE.

I've been programming for nearly 20 years now in a variety of contexts and languages, starting through game modding with C, QuakeC, and TES3Script. These days I spend most of my time on personal projects using a blend of Go, Rust, and playing around with C++.

Over time, I'll reorganize and add to this page.
